NEWS FROM THE BIERERS - HUG YOUR DOGS

We still have a hard time believing that our “Cody” GCH Victory’s Kodiak Grin and Bear It CDX JH WC is gone.  The cancer was fast and furious.  He was diagnosed on November 10th.  On November 11th, my field training group met and Cody got to do what he loved most, retrieve ducks.  That afternoon, I held him tight as we said good bye.  Cody was just 8 years old, the first we lost so young, and my first that left so much undone.  We had started entering Senior Hunt Tests and Utility Obedience Trials.  Fall was to be the culmination of years of work.  Sadly, not to be.

We are grateful that Cody sired a wonderful litter of 10 in August 2020.

This was shortly after we had lost Rudy, our Hall of Fame dog, and we really weren’t emotionally ready for a puppy yet.  You know how that goes.

We visited the litter at week 8 and took pick of litter, Mr. Orange, home with us.  “Peat,” now CH Victory’s Scotch N Soda CD JH, has made it all so much better.  He is 80 pounds of lap dog, beautiful, smart and talented.

Peat finished his championship on his first birthday and followed shortly after with obedience and hunt titles.  He brings us joy with his silly Flat-Coat antics and he is our devoted companion.
